 |   As we near the end of September, and move into the last quarter of 2010, the cosmos energy is influenced by a conjunction between the Sun and Saturn both in Libra casting a somber mood over us all. This conjunction, which happens once a year, is always a time to get down to the bottom line. Facing reality is not always pleasurable. However, change is only possible when we are able to see things for what they really are. Only then can we correct them practically. The lesson of Saturn in Libra is for us to take responsibility for our actions both in our interpersonal relationships as well in our chosen careers and obligations to friends and family. Emotional commitment becomes a more serious matter which just is not about blissful moments and romantic fluff. A real partnership requires reasonable compromises -- fair to both sides. Saturn tends to linger in effect making sure its lessons have been well learned. So pay attention to your responsibilities and relationships as we start this month. A lively Uranus Mercury opposition on October 2 will spark up the mood. This is followed with a passionately seductive and enthusiastic meeting of Venus and Mars in Scorpio which should produce a few bells and whistles in the romance department. Be prepared to be hit with the green-eyed monster -- jealously -- so this is not the time to stray or let partners out of your sight. Mercury also joins the Sun in overcrowded Libra on October 3, so there'll be no shortage of pleasant conversations and happy encounters, with only a few blips where serious matters need to be discussed in depth. Neptune winds up a head of steam, in aspect to Mercury, the Sun and then Mars between October 18 and the 22. There'll be kind gestures, soft words as well as some confusion and miscommunication since Neptune dislikes detail. Expect disappointments and just as many successes. An exuberant, confidence-boosting Mars trine Jupiter on October 21 will certainly bring great results. Mars trine Jupiter was always the best influence for childbirth since it brings energy and new life. Taking positive action during this time will attract good luck. However, a slip-sliding Mars square Neptune that follows may mean that for every step forward, we take half a step back. In the final week of October, Mercury and the Sun are in secret and intensely determined Scorpio. Mars moves into fiery, crusading Sagittarius on October 28 to stay there until December 7. Strong opinions will be aired and arguments on high minded topics will keep everyone on their toes.
